Angels

Seven Heavenly Virtues

Cosmology

The Afterworld is a heaven-like place where angels reside, it's located in the leaves and above the World Tree, above the remains of Yorthe and the depths of the Underworld. It's ruled by the God King Sigtyr, the "good" split of the past King Odin. This heaven-like place has 4 distinct realms, all home to different species of angels besides Asgard, the capital, and all ruled by different Gods appointed and created by God King Sigtyr. Due to Yorthe's destruction, the rainbow bridge Bifröst, that once reached from the Afterworld to Yorthe, now reaches from the Afterworld to the Underworld, giving demons and angels free access to eachother's realms.
When the newly born angels retreated to the Afterworld after the apocalypse, they brought animals such as cattle with them and other animals that could fly such as birds and insects went alongside them. Due to the environment of the Afterworld and it's celestial nature, the animals that came with the angels mutated and formed into new beings; the cattle grew wings and the birds adapted to the stars in the sky.
Asgard

Asgard is the capital of the Afterworld, founded quickly after the other 3 realms were established. It's ruled by the lighting god, Thor, maintains a battle culture within the city. Asgard is mainly focused around war and training in battle against the demons, angels usually only come here to train, however any type of angel can come here and there's accommodations for all. Residents of Asgard wear armour for their battles but they do retain the flair of their homelands, gold is a very common colour for angels here to wear. Asgard is the heighest realm in the Afterworld, it's located above all the other realms and the World Tree ontop of a massive sea of clouds. It has a bustling city full of all sorts of angels who seek to strengthen themselves in combat and learn ways to counter demons.
There is numerous different battle and training grounds, and even different schools to teach angels the way demons work. The main battle ground Vigrid, is a massive field where angels can train and fight together.
Alfheim

Alfheim is the realm of the faerie angels, located just above the leaves of the World Tree and next to Svartalfheim. The sky in this realm is a permanent day sky, blue with white fluffy clouds. Alfheim is full of forests that the residents like to live in and inhabit, most notably in plant houses and bungalows they've made themselves. The clouds in this realm are walkable, fertile ground that can produce crops and harvest if planted, they are the ground for the faerie angels. Flowers and other plants also grow on their own here and they sprawl across the entirety of Alfheim. This realm is ruled by the god of the sun Dagr, residents worship this god and ask him to bless their harvests.
Svartálfheim

Svartálfheim is the realm of the celestial angels, it's located next to Alfheim which is above the leaves of the World Tree. This realm has a permanent night sky filled with stars and constellations that the residents love to study. In Svartálfheim the clouds are a golden colour instead of white and huge golden stars are more common to see, stars are the ground for the celestial angels but the clouds are also walkable. Residents live within the huge stars and make homes and other buildings out of them, but they also sometimes choose to make seperate buildings from the stars. The clouds in this realm however are not fertile ground so plants and others crops aren't able to grow in Svartálfheim, meaning the celestial angels trade with the faerie angels of Alfheim for their harvests and food.
The god that rules this realm is Nótt, the god of the night.
Vanaheim

Vanaheim is the realm of the vanir, bird angels. It's located within the leaves of the World Tree, underneath Alfheim and Svartálfheim. Regular day-night cycles do occur here but most of it's inhabitants tend to only come out at nighttime. This realm is full of scholarly places, libraries and schools for the vanirs to study and amass a great knowledge on the universe and other topics. Residents typically live in treehouses and prefer to build their buildings within the World Tree, nests and branch houses are also common within Vanaheim. The gods that rule this realm are the twin gods fo fertility, Freyja and Freyr.
General

Angels are the inhabitants of the entirety of the Afterworld, they are split into 3 different species and a hierarchy that rules over the Afterworld. The appearance of angels can differ vastly depending on the species of angel but they will all have some kind of eye imagery, a pair of wings and black blood. Their lifespan differs between the species but the average age between all angels is 500 years old. Angels cannot procreate with the demon race or with a different angel species than them, the most common way angels are born is through rebirth. When angels die they turn to dust and are swept away by the wind, the angel dust returns to the elements ready to become an angel once again. The Celestials (different from celestial angels) then rebirth the angels through the stars or clouds and they become a new angel.
When an angel dies and is reborn they will always become the same angel species they were in their past life. Angels embody positive concepts of human nature such as happiness, they live their lives as positive creatures without the acknowledgement that they can be negative. The only time they have negative emotions is towards demons and their hatred of demons due to believing they’re inherently evil as this is what is built into them and what their nature is. They do not realise they're being negative and think that what they're doing what is good for the tree of life. Angels, specifically the heavenly virtues and their followers, frequently attack the Underworld as they believe the demons poison the World Tree with their evil. They seek to wipe out the entire population of demons and restore the World Tree to "health". This is taught within the Afterworld and all it's realms.
Faerie Angels

Faerie angels are the creatures who inhabit Alfheim in the Afterworld. They believe community is very important and always help out eachother when needed. Gardening, cooking and farming are very popular hobbies among faerie angels. They often host community gatherings to share their harvests, foods and flowers. Residents usually wear things that are somewhat formal and flowy, such as big sleeved button ups, long flowing capes/coats, waistcoats, long flowing dresses and skirts and robes, Small gems and flower embroidery are very commonly seen on pieces of clothing. Colours of clothing and faerie angels include white, silver, grey, light pastel colours, black, grayscale.
Faerie angels are elf angels, they are cool toned creatures who's wings resemble insect wings rather than the usual fluffy angel wings. They have slender hands and feet, white eyelashes and light hair, they usually have some kind of plant design embedded within their skin. These angels live for around 600 years.

These angels are very good astronomists and seek to finding the worlds answers through the stars, and moon. they also believe in astrology and have fun prediciting others future. Residents usually wear things that are formal and flowy like faerie angels, but this time their colours are darker and their accessories are things like the moon, the stars and constellations. These angels live for around 700 years. Celestia angels are elf angels just like the faerie angels, but they are warm toned and have fluffy angel wings (resembling clouds) that come in all shapes and sizes. Vanir are bird angels who inhabit Vanaheim. They place great importance on fertility and wisdom, they also have the ability to see the future. A lot of vanir have great knowledge on things like the universe due to their long lifespan of around 1000 years. Residents prefer to wear things like robes or cloaks as opposed to proper clothing, their colours are very plant-like including but not limited to, green, brown, grey, cream and more. They do however have a cultural practice of wearing masks that resemble birds and have intricate colourful feathers designs, they use these masks to identify eachother and they symbolize independence. These creatures are humanoid birds that are angels, they resemble tons of different types of birds but the most common are owls.
Vanir usually have bird legs, wings for arms but a humanoid shaped head and body, on their forehead they possess a third eye that allows them to see visions into the future. These types of angels are quite rare so there isn't a lot of them.
